ICF Chicago, you asked for a panel discussion and we listened! There are over 500 coaches in the ICF Chicago chapter, and only 25 are credentialed as Master Certified Coaches. In this months chapter meeting, you have the opportunity to ask a panel of MCC's about their coaching journey, what obstacles they overcame, and tips and tricks that helped propel them to the level of MCC. The panel will be moderated by ICF Chicago President, Peter James.

Sheila Boysen


Dr. Boysen is a professor with  a varied industry and professional background that includes supply chain and logistics, talent management, recruitment and selection and professional coaching. These roles have spanned a number of industries as well as both public and private organizations. She completed her coach training education at the University of Texas at Dallas in the Executive, Professional and Career Coaching program and received her Professional Coach Certification from the International Coach Federation.   Her doctoral studies at Benedictine University in Organization Development included extensive research on Coaching and Talent Management. She created the ICF accredited Professional and Executive Coaching program at Lewis Uniersity.  Dr. Boysen-Rotelli has been teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level for over 10  ears and she is passionate about helping people to succeed, grow in their leadership capacity and find fulfillment in their ideal careers. She has coached hundreds of clients for over 3,000 hours and earned her MCC from the ICF.

Susan Myers

Susan Spritz Myers

Susan Spritz Myers is an executive coach, trainer, and facilitator.  She specializes in leadership development, supporting clients to build individual and team strategies for improved collaboration and productivity.  Susan passionately partners with clients to yield greater results in their roles and organizations. 

Susan’s clients are CEOs, heads of business units, lawyers and senior executives. Susan connects unspoken dots to leverage strengths, uncover blind spots and manage weaknesses. Clients report increased ability to work better together, contribute, lead and communicate with greater impact and ease. Through Susan’s guidance, clients learn to identify and reduce the amount of stress they are experiencing either internally or in working with others.  Her clients hold better meetings and produce results within sharper timeframes.

Susan artfully uses many assessments with clients.  She has the “right” tools to support each client’s needs. Susan is certified in The Leadership Circle, Hay Group’s Emotional and Social Competency Inventory and the Strengths Profiler, each one helps client strengthen their self-awareness and understanding of how to increase their leadership skills and impact.

Susan is a Master Certified Coach (MCC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF). The MCC certification is the top certification granted by the ICF, and only about 800 people hold the certification globally.  Susan is also a Kolbe Master Certified Team Consultant.  She helps individuals and teams leverage their innate problem-solving talents.  Results produce significantly increased mental energy and reduced exhaustion, strain, tension and empowers working relationships and collaboration. Using the Kolbe tools, she also helps clients select and onboard team members, ensuring a good fit for their role and the team’s synergy.

Susan has been a coach for 20 years. Susan received her coach certification from the Coaches Training Institute and continues to keep her practice fresh with a life-long commitment to learning and embraces much continuing education. She is intrigued by the story of each of her client organizations, the people behind it and the relationship dynamics at play.

Her extensive work experience, natural curiosity, keen emotional intelligence skills and years as a seasoned coach are a tremendous benefit to her clients. As president of Stand-Buys, Ltd. she led a small regional travel club through a transformation to become a fast-paced, entrepreneurial industry leader. Then she gained corporate experience as a Vice President of Account Management/Sales with CUC International, managing the Midwest client relationships. Susan holds a BS in business from Michigan State University. Her diverse experiences give her a first-hand perspective on the complexity of leadership and team development.  Susan’s clients report remarkable results and have great fun in the process!

Jim Milner has over 30 years of experience in workforce (personal/professional) development, operating/leading businesses and organizational systems. He has academic/industry training in “Coaching the Person”.

In addition to supporting Leaders in Transition, conflict resolutions and negotiations, Jim provides consulting, facilitation, and leadership coaching. He designs systems and strategies that foster individual and organizational engagement and alignment.

He has served as a transition coach for presidents, vice presidents, Boards of Directors and managing supervisors/mid-level cross-functional managers -supporting their leadership through succession and/or transition.
