Josette specializes in taking already successful business leaders and their teams to the next level of performance. Her goal is to create an environment where each leader can not only increase their performance but also thrive. Her top-down approach to coaching has a cascading affect on the entire organization. When employees see their leaders re-energized and armed with the fundamentals of leadership, teamwork and personal effectiveness, the whole company and its bottom line grows.

Her highly successful career as a corporate executive and business owner includes experience in the wholesale, retail, financial services, professional services, healthcare, manufacturing, communications, technology, advertising, and academia. Her diverse experience equips Josette to ask the questions that business leaders need to answer to reach the next level of performance.

BUSINESS and ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE:
Josette has been in senior executive and officer roles for over 20 years. In both corporate and professional organizations, she has led teams and mentored individual managers to success. Josette has guided several Fortune 500 companies through both financial and cultural turnarounds by leading initiatives to expand the organizations’ impact in their industry, increase sales, and improve margins.

As Chief Administrative Officer and SVP Human Resources at American Express, Josette was responsible for human resource and employment litigation, information systems, and corporate administration functions. She was the first female officer at Balcor/American Express and the organizational and strategic planning advisor to the Chairman and CEO.

Josette also held positions as SVP of Human Resources at Household Finance Corporation (HFC), a $10 billion national consumer finance company and Enesco, a giftware, and collectibles company where she worked with US and international subsidiaries in Canada and the UK. She represented these companies in all public relations issues and was organizational, business and strategic advisor to the President and CEO at both organizations. During her tenure at Enesco, she led a culture change initiative, moving the organization from a paternalistic hierarchy to a collaborative crossfunctional partnership. This reduced turnover from 32% to 13% in the first two years, saving $2.7 million.

PUBLICATIONS and SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS:
Josette has spoken for various professional groups and conferences, including Multigenerations in the Workplace for Illinois Technology Association, Influence without Authority for Institute for Internal Auditors and Impactful Communications for the Loyola Women's Leadership Conference.

She has been featured in Crain’s Chicago business, Authority Magazine and Thrive Magazine as having successfully re-inventing her passion into a successful business helping others to reach their highest potential. She has been a contributor to the OD Practitioner in a case study about the changing workforce.

She is an active mentor for Menttium, Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), and Executive Club of Chicago. She has been a Committee Member of Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) Lake County and is currently a President’s Council member for AlmostHome Kids.
